Loved the facility, a little noisey but we were prepared. They did have noise cancelling doors to the balconey and it did help. Staff was attentive and helpful.

Nice clean property in great location. Breakfast was ok, but not as good as expected. Staff were friendly and worked hard to resolve an issue with my laundry.

Le Foyer is a super cute hostel in a fantastic location in Arequipa. It’s only a two minute walk from the main plaza. It has a great design, was clean and had an amazing rooftops terrace with unparalleled views of the sunset. I arrived very early on a flight around 7am and was able to have breakfast on the rooftop terrace and check in to my room about 10am which I was very appreciative of. The only complaint I have is that it was EXTREMELY loud at night. To the point that earplugs weren’t even enough. Make sure that you get a room on the courtyard to save your sanity. Still, the good outweighed the bad.

Dear McKenna, Thank you for your time and your comment. We are happy you enjoyed the terrace and our service. We are trying to deal with the noise issue the best we can. We have out isolation on the outer and inner rooms and we are constantly dealing with the city council to take measurements. But most of all, we try to compensate with a great service in every way possible. Thank you for your words, they show we are achieving these and we really appreciate it. All the best and we wish to see you again soon in Arequipa.

Staff was very rude and locked us in the hotel. They would not let us leave in the morning to catch our transfer bus. The bus company ended up having to talk to them to let us leave. Terrible. I want my money back.

Dear Jaeger We are sorry about your comment. After doing the enquiries about it, it seems to be a confusion, as it looks like you thought we have charged you twice, or that you have already paid your booking fee. Let me please clarify that we do not charge in advance any amount unless it is a booking with a non-refundable rate. Your booking was with a standard rate, which means the credit card is used as guarantee only in case of no-show or damage to the property. Under this circumstances we kindly ask you to check you bank statements and let us know if you've been charged twice, we definitely would refund all of the money you've been charged if it was our mistake. Otherwise, I would ask you to remove this comment as it is not accurate and doesn't reflect our customer oriented ethos. The night staff had to do what it was instructed to her on situations like this, which was kindly asking you to pay for the money that was unpaid before the check out. To honor the truth, you had to pay your fee before you leave the hostel and the guys from the bus company understood that as well. It is not like you were locked in and they had to come to let you go as you're inferring in your comment. Best regards, Hendry Segovia
