Change of property
Posted 28 Jun 2018The apartment we stayed in was not the original one booked as there was some flood damage to the original. It was very spacious, clean and modern. We were quite confused as we booked this through Expedia not realising that we had to provide our own towels and bedding unless we paid extra per person. Not sure how we were going to do that travelling from Australia and we were lucky we had family living in town to help us out. We also had to clean the apartment ourselves or pay extra to have them clean it for us....never experienced this before when booking a property through Expedia.

Thank you Leanne for your feedback. Yes, we had to renovate the apartment fully, as we had a major damage due to a water leak. I am glad you liked it. I know it is not common with the meaning of self catering in your country, in the Swedish mountain it is very common to have the opportunity to choose to pay for the extra service or not to keep costs down. I know Expedia tell you about it on website before booking. Kind regards, Malin

Convenient apartment

Pros: Convenient location
Location: Near to ski lifts, shops and restaurants. You can ski directly to the building as well which is great.
We had a great return to Are. The apartment is very centrally located and easy access to the lifts as well as the Bars, restaurants and shops of the Village.

Great Ski Town Resort

Pros: Very clean and modern accommodations.
Location: A great ski town, plenty of eateries and shops to choose from and beautiful views of the Swedish countryside.
We arrived early in Åre from the train and the resort was able to allow us to drop off our luggage before check-in while the room was being cleaned. Once the room was ready we were surprised at how well equipped and spacious the room was. The living quarters and kitchenette were great. The double bed was a tight space, but perfectly livable for a younger couple like myself and my girlfriend. It was a lovely stay and we'd happily go back again.
