This hotel has gone downhill. Because of walking difficulties we were promised a ground floor room but got the same room as 2 weeks ago. No customer care as the hotel was no way near half full and they had plenty of rooms to select from. This is my very last visit to the hotel which I have used since 2015 when it was an hotel. Stay there at your own risk.

Good afternoonWe are very sorry that his stay was not pleasant.Please note that regarding the rooms on the ground floor, we only have 7 of which some are standard rooms and others are economical (single, triple and double).The issue of giving them a room on the first floor is because the clients who were on the ground floor had the reservation before you and they also requested a ground floor.It is impossible for us to give all the rooms requested on the ground floor since there is not much availabilityGreetings

We last stayed at this hotel in October 2023 and the receptionist suggested a groundfloor room close to the main area because of my disability.Perfect. In December 30/12/2023 I wrote asking for the same room when we arrive 04/04/24. On arrival we were told immediately that there is no afternoon lunch and that there is no bar service. The kitchen and bar would be open that evening. Next we were given room 162, first floor which was 30yds from the lift with the room approx. 80 yds from the lift. I asked about our request for our previous room to be told she knew nothing of our request, the room was let and it was no longer considered a budget room. I then asked because of my disability and shortness of breath could she move us to either a groundfloor room or one nearer the lift. i was told that the hotel was full, yet the car park was quite empty. We are due to stay there on the 18/04/24, we have requested a groungfloor room and we shall see what happens. We have been using this hotel since 2016 and have seen the standards slowly slipping but this last stay reached a very standard.

Good morningWe are very sorry for the problem you had with the room on April 4.Please note that on the ground floor we only have 7 rooms (1 room for 3 people, 1 for 1 person and the rest are doubles), of which we only have 3 economical double rooms and the rest are standard.If clients who have made reservations before you have asked us for a room on the ground floor like you (and they ask us for many), it may well be that we do not have any available that day.Whenever clients ask us for something, be it a double room, or a ground floor or upper floor, we always try to give it to them, but there are times when it is totally impossible, since the ground floor is quickly sold out.Best regards

Great for a one night stopover on the way to Bilbao for the ferry. Easy to find just off the motorway and yet no noise could be heard in the room. Easy check in, lovely room, dog friendly and a good price. Adjoining bar great for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our room was in need of refurbishment, as it was really tatty. The only lights in the room were 2 dim wall lights, a standard lamp didnt work. And the wifi was very weak . It took more than 40 minutes for our breakfast order to arrive.

Perfect for a ferry stopover
Posted 7 Dec 2023 on HotelsOne night stopover on the way to the Santander ferry. The hotel is easy to access, plenty of parking. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. Bar prices were good, didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment there. All in all, a bit of a find and will definitely be staying there again.
