Wild and Amazing

Our shower did not drain and took to long to get hot had to waste to much water possibly the worst shower ever. Ate at the Restaurant and the food was amazing.

Thank you very much for booking with us. We are sorry for the inconvenience which we have already resolved. Please be aware this is a very old building and also surprises us! There are challenges which we already can solve during your stay. Will it ever be perfect? Probably not! But it is a cosy place to stay and the best location in town with sustainable practices which non other hotel can currently provide in town (this is my personal opinion!).

Centrally located but clearly overpriced.
Posted 21 May 2023 on HotelsThis hotel is overpriced. In addition to a high price they wanted to charge €25 extra pro person. Hotel is central on a side street but just next to 2 bars where people were shouting and loud until 4am, we hardly slept that night. Water damages (dripping from the ceiling) in the reception area, as well as bad smell in that area.
Even though we got a suite, the bathroom is very simple, with stains on the vinyl flooring….

Leider kann ich Ihre Bewertung nur in Teilen nachvollziehen. Warum stellen Sie ihr eigenes Buchungsversagen so dar, wie wenn es Hotelschuld wäre. Sie hätten ja auch gleich auf unserer Hotelseite direkt und mit Frühstück buchen können. Aber offensichtlich sind Sie so blind in den Händen vom OTA, daß Sie keine Preise mehr vergleichen und blind gebucht haben, sie wußten ja noch nicht einmal was für eine Zimmerkategorie sie gebucht haben. Die Kommissionen der OTAS sind ja in der Zwischenzeit horrend hoch! Wir sind nunmal mitten in der Innenstadt und da gibt es immer Geräusche in der Stadt, Sie hätten ja auch die Option gehabt die Polizei zu rufen, bei dem Lärm den Sie beschrieben. Für den Wasserschaden können wir leider nichts, der Leckorter konnte erst heute kommen, das ist die neue Realität. Es ist schlichtweg ein altes Haus mit Überraschungen. Und es riecht nicht sondern ein Wasserschaden mit Frischwasser riecht halt feucht trotz Lüftens den ganzen Tag!.Wer sich an Kalkflecken stört der sucht einfach klein klein nach Fehlern.... Wie schade, daß Sie nicht erwähnt haben ausgiebig Kaffee und Tee mit Ihrer Partnerin von den kostenfreien Maschinen "TO GO" mitgenommen zu haben und auf meine Nachfrage sagten, es wäre alles in Ordnung gewesen!

Be sure to get it in writing
Posted 10 Jul 2019 on HotelsAt ck in the attendant asked if we would like breakfast with our stay, he said it was included. When we ckd out the attendant said it was not included and we were charged an extra 50 euro for 3 breakfasts. Not really worth it.
The bathroom was very small. If i turned in the shower i would hit the knob and turn it off.
Wifi constantly disconnected us through out our stay, more annoying then anything else.

We are sorry you could not get along with the service offered. We do not include breakfast at Expedia or external booking channels, this is clearly stated on our website as well as on the Expedia Site and price is printed on your Expedia booking very clear. Our staff will never tell anything else.
Our breakfast is definitely worth it: many regional ecological products, regional & ecological products as eggs, cheese, honey, nut cream or marmalade. More than 8 different kinds of buns, rolls and bread. Coffee, espresso, cappuccino, tee in ecological and fair trade quality. Homemade yoghurt, fruit salad and much more. For sure it is not a North American buffet dominated by carbohydrates, sugar and fat, but for that reason the most people travel: to open their mind and hearts and make new experiences.
Wi-Fi: leaving the house means leaving Wi-Fi, this is for security reason and we are proud to offer a secure Wi-Fi! As you left the house often you had to reconnect often. We patiently explained this to you and reconnection was not a problem. You can use up to 100MB/s. We do know some areas of the world offer faster Wi-Fi nevetheless whole Ansbach still works on 100MB/s maximum and this we do offer this which is far enough to stream anything.
Shower: Most of our showers have the standard European size of 32x32in as in your room 26, some are larger. We are sorry, that this size did not fit to your body measurements. This is a very personal problem, we are not able to solve.
We operate a house founded of walls of 1100 and many of our openminded guests love the historic place. We hope you will find on your further travels places fitting to your needs and would hope we will host some very nice and gentle ambassadors of your great nation soon again to keep our faith in this for usual honest & friendly people.

A charming, comfy hotel in the heart of old Ansbach! The hotel is family owned and staffed by friendly, helpful staff. The excellent restaurant has a delicious optional breakfast and an incredible dinner menu! The garden dinning area would be very nice in summer! Limited but nearby parking. No elevator but staff will help with luggage.

Location: Just around the corner from the Christmas market, in the middle of downtown Ansbach!
Great place to stay, clean, friendly, excellent location with fantastic food!

I was quite pleased with the room we stayed in. It was a family room which had 2 rooms joined together. We enjoyed the complementary wine, chocolates as well as the beverages in the room. The food was plentiful and they cooked your eggs at your tableside. We ate dinner at the resteraunt and the portions was quite large. The staff was accommodating to our children's need. We will definitely stay in this hotel if we are in the area.

“Old World charm with modern convenience
Posted 1 Mar 2013 on HotelsThis is an absolutely great place to stay. The room I stayed in was a double. The room was very clean and decorated nicely. The bed and linens are very comfortable. The room had a desk, DVD player (loaner DVD's in all languages available for free), chair, dresser, closet and Nescafe Coffee maker. The room also had a small refrigerator that had 1 beer, Soda and water that was complementary and was replaced every day. The room also includes a buffet breakfast that was awesome. Some of the items in the buffet, to give you an idea, were breads, jellies, cold cuts, fruits, and made to order eggs. The beverages they had were coffee, juices, milk, various teas and soda water. I looked forward to breakfast every morning. The hotel also has a restaurant which was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Last but not least, the employees that I had the pleasure in meeting were GREAT!! From check-in to check-in out they were very friendly and helpful. If you are staying in Ansbach, this is the place.
