Posted 9 Mar 2023 on HotelsIf you want peace and quiet this is a gem of a place with absolutely fantastic hosts . You have everything you require . View brilliant from bay apartment . This is great go walking or cycling Queen Charlotte Track . Swim in the sound or kayaking . I didn’t use my rental car for TWO days . Fully recommended

The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed returning to it's comfort after a downpour on the beautiful Queen Charlotte track.

Nice waterfront setting, far away from any public places. Tavern on 7km is nice, good and cheap food.
Room is next to public area with just a glass panel door in between. If you are looking for very basic, this will be to your enjoyment, no seconds for us....

We're pleased you like our waterfront setting, but disappointed to read you found our accommodation to be very basic, as our facilities are often why other guests rate us very highly. We appreciate your room is adjacent to the communal guest area, however we are very small homestay property, so it's not really a 'public area' and in fact, there was only one other guest staying the night you were with us. Apologies our style of accommodation isn't suitable for you, but many thanks for staying & reviewing us.

Spectacular location

Pros: Location & owners
Cons: We missed having a sitting room after our son was asleep but the weather was great & we could comfortably sit outside anyway.
We totally enjoyed it!
Location: Queen Charlotte Track right at the driveway entrance
Anakiwa jetty also at driveway
Outward Bound centre next door
Lovely & very helpful owners Tanya & Shane, we we able to use the guest houses kayaks.
We had the apartment at ground level.
