The hotel is in a great location for restaurants, shopping, and bars. Getting bags in and out of the hotel is tough with the stairs though since the lobby is up a flight of stairs. The bed wasn't very comfortable in a standard room (spring mattress) but otherwise the room was okay. The views are great and the location can't be beat.

We really loved the breakfast and the staff were amazing! Showers were great too.

Great hotel with a good location, lots of restaurants and bars on the doorstep but not noisy. We walked easily from the central station so didn’t use any parking facilities. Good clean well prepared room, only thing that I could comment on, the windows in our room were quite high up and my wife not being the tallest could not see out, but this in no way distracted from our stay ( part of the charm of an old building ? ) The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful and a great buffet breakfast to top it all off. We had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely return.

Not having stayed in any of the other hotels in the heart of Amsterdam, I don’t have a good basis for comparison. I chose this hotel because my teenagers refuse to share a bed, so the twin beds were really appealing and worked out well. The room itself was fine for what we needed but felt WAY overpriced, but then again, it looked comparable to other rooms available in the same area at the same time. Location-wise, this was a good choice for us because it was close to the train station and within walking distance of the tram and bike rental shop (which helped in visiting other parts of the city we didn’t want to walk to), and the Anne Frank House. There are several restaurants nearby and a nice little café across the street for coffee and pastries, and it’s right next door to a wonderful little shop with croissants and freshly made stroopwaffles.

Great location. Everything was a 10-15 min walk away. The rooms are very small but clean and updated.
