The breakfast was good, when we arrived there were free drinks and snacks, the house was near the river. The scenery during the day and the evening is beautiful, everything is wonderful

Rooms need to be updated, shower unit has rust on it, mirror has old stains, everything is very old! Dinner was so so but breakfast was awesome.

Traditional riverside homestay
Posted 12 Feb 2018
Pros: Location & quaint decor
Location: Take a long tail boat, to see the fireflies.
When you first enter this lovely friendly homestay, look around & there is so many old traditional Thai things to look at. It has been decorated with lots & lots of old times & all make it interesting to look at.
Once settled in to your room, you can go & sit outside, alongside the adjacent Klong & enjoy watching daily life on the water.
Rooms are comfortable & perfect for our needs.
The friendly staff will organize for a long tail boat to come & pick you up from right outside the hotel & take you for an hours trip, showing you the fireflies.
Get up early in the morning & for a small fee the hotel will organise a tray of alms to give to the monks, who will paddle up to the hotel, in their small boats.
Breakfast was well set out & very pleasant, certainly enough to choose from.
When coming back to Amphawa we will definitely look at stopping at this hotel, once again.
