Our son will be a freshman at Iowa State University in the fall. We chose to stay at Staybridge because we needed to complete a college visit. What we found was a nicely appointed lobby, which was very clean. The front desk hostess e was very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area. Our room looked amazing! Very large and comfortable. More than enough room for our family. I was very pleased with what we discovered and the next time we are in Ames, Iowa we would definitely stay there again. It’s close to campus and the highway. The amenities are very nice. The staff is friendly. What more could a visitor ask for?

This facility is new. The new construction is not completely finished. There were no curtains in our living room. There was spackle and paint on the carpet, giant gouges in the kitchen flooring, no dresser in the room with two beds, but two telephones in that room, a lamp behind a TV, because it didn’t get hung on the wall. Definitely not worth what we paid per night. Front end manager unhelpful. Still waiting on a call from the area manager.

The pool room smelt like sewage and looking online you'll see that there is a hot tub but there is not.

Only half of the channels worked. Seemed to be very noise as you could hear every door close and street travel. Need upgrade of sound proof rooms

First room would not unlock, switched to another room, the silverware drawer was blocked shut by what appeared to be the bracket that was supposed to hold the stove top in place. Staff was fine but not very friendly.
