The Log House
Posted 16 Apr 2019 on HotelsThe location was very good & the hotel provided a parking permit for the pay & display car park across the street.
Room was small which was fine but the en suite bathroom is not even a little bit sound proof so doesn't leave much to the imagination! The water pressure for the shower wasn't great & the water stopped intermittently whilst in the shower.
Breakfast was nice but limited to full English, salmon & scrambled eggs or pancakes with maple syrup.

I think the good star rating is down to the restaurant.
The rooms needed updating, the bed had springs popping out of the middle, it needed a hoover and a complete freshen up. Does not look as it did in the pictures. We wanted a little bit of luxury but we didn’t get it here. We checked out a day early and spent the night at the townhouse further into Ambleside which I would highly recommend

Posted 30 Jul 2018 on HotelsLovely stay and good value for money. Only downside was the heat in the room (it was a very hot spell of weather) but a fan was provided, window if opened let in too much road noise.
Would definitely stay again.
