It is advertised as a 4 star hotel, however in my opinion its a good 3 stars. Everything is clean, breakfast is nice, staff is friendly and location is convenient to reach to and from airport by public bus for 1Euro.
Nice view from the sky bar but make sure to be there before sunset to enjoy it. Not when its getting dark.
Rooms ars very basic, have tv, tea kettle and mini bar.

Near the port. The view from the breakfast room is gorgeous. Main concerns are a lack of parking and the shower turning extremely hot or cold in an instant.

The Hotel Catalunya is very well located., a few minutes away from the Old Town.The room was very comfy and well decorated. One dissapointment was however the Sky Bar opening times. It closes at 10.00 which gives you no chance of visiting if you check in late.

Excellent reception staff

Great location and beautiful breakfast

Hotel has good AC and WiFi.
Beautiful breakfast area on top floor with view of the port.
Helpful staff.
Would stay here again on my next visit.

Hotel Catalunya was a great stay, had very nice rooms and friendly staff. The hotel breakfast buffet was a great spread, had lots of options and the view from the skybar was fantastic.
However, the air conditioning system in the room is horrible. The hotel sets the ac to automatically turn off at 24 degrees celsius with no way to over run it, so I found myself awake in the middle of the night sweating non stop. They sent a staff member up to fix the problem and he confirmed that the ac would not go below 24, so the rooms are basically always hot with no way to control the temperature. This was extremely frustrating. Further, don’t bother using the wifi as it is borderline useless. It would disconnect after using it for 2 minutes and you constantly had to keep signing back in. The wifi connection is also really really slow.
All in all, the hotel was very good and new. However, I would not stay again due to the room temperature situation.
