Kudos to the team for keeping the property running, but the hotel has seen better days. The area is also incredibly loud at night (the hotel does not disclose that on their website but you quickly realize there is something wrong when ear plugs are provided upon your arrival). Not a good option if you are looking for a peaceful retreat and good sleep.

Nice stay
Posted 3 Jan 2024 on HotelsWe arrived quite early and were greeted by the owner. She allowed us to check in and explained the room/property. This was a large old building/home that had been subdivided. Our room was basic w a private bathroom. We got some great food suggestions and helpful tips for the area.

Malfalda couldn't do enough and was always checking if everything was Good or if we needed anything. The house is beautiful and you don;t feel like you are in a big hotel. The view is amazing over the square of the old town. There was noise from the square at night but the huge bed was so comfy that it didn't stop us sleeping. I don;t think I have ever slept so much on holiday! The entrance to the hotel is at the back and there are large slopes or stairs to get down to the square - and back up. Luckily you can use the Hotel California next door for their lifts so this brings you straight to the bar street with no steps. The only down side for me was the spiral staircase to the pool!! As I don't like these but Mafalda said to ask for a lower room so you can walk straight out to the pool. The pool was too cold to use - but that was expected in November ! At least we had great weather and 22 degrees each day. I would stay here again, but not sure if it would be too noisy in summer when all the bars are open late

Wonderful hotel

The best location, room was clean and comfortable. The parking is an issue if you are driving.
