Place needs a refresh but still excellent location
Posted 5 Feb 2024 on HotelsI’ve stayed here for many years. Motorcycle trips with the boys, family visits to battlefields and last night on a longer trip. Sadly, the hotel is starting to show its age and is in need of a refresh. Sadly, no kettle, no signal on the TV for English language news. (Usual to get bbc news world at least)

Only thing negative was the fact the restaurant was closed for dinner but we were given great recommendations by the girl on reception which were 4 minutes drive at most.

The hotel was in a perfect location for our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a lovely evening meal one of the evenings we were there. The atmosphere was relaxed and there were comfortable chairs in the bar area. Tea and coffee also available from a machine.

Great location for my trip to Somme battlefields. Nice handy hotel. Only downside was the smell of cigarette smoke in the room.
