Nice place but no where to eat
Posted 17 May 2018We arrived after 4pm and unfortunately there was no where to eat except a place that sold a large half bread roll with ham inside. There were no facilities in the village for a warm meal, only tapas.. We ended up getting ham from the butchers and eating it in the hotel. Staff were friendly and wine tasting experience was great. Breakfast was limited, but yet again couldn't expect much with lack of options.

Great hotel with plenty of parking on the edge of a small town. There is really not much to the town, but this place was great for overnight. This is part of a Bodega and we were easily able to set up a tour of the facility which was great and also a tasting. We ended up buying a handful of wine. The room was overall well appointed though we would have appreciated a small fridge to be able to buy some small items for dinner as it was quite limited in the town. The beds were firm but overall had a great sleep. Nice bathroom with excellent water pressure and clean. The breakfast was small but good with good coffee. The staff was the same for the hotel, breakfast, and the bodega and she was helpful and friendly. The only downside that I could find was that we had some problems with the internet on my husbands phone, which they said happens with some iphones.

OK for an overnight stay
Posted 10 Jan 2017 on HotelsMaybe if we had more time here the post would be different. Check in was smooth and quick. Decor was very palatable. Unfortunately it would seem that the heating was not working, being in January it was very cold and the only heating provided was a 2k fan heater that kept tripping the electric. I would have liked to do a tour of the winery, however as we were "in transit" this was not possible. All that said, looking at previous comments, I would think that given the opportunity to stay longer, we would more than probably concur.

A Rioja stopover
Posted 1 Aug 2016 on HotelsNice hotel - pity about the rather scruffy town it's next to. Contrary to the blurb there is no bar nor restaurant. Just a breakfast room. We had to eat in town, but that was no problem, as there were restaurants only a few minutes walk away. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The receptionist went out of her way to give us a personal tour of the winery in English, once she'd finished the standard evening tour in Spanish. It was well worth the wait, as was the tasting session that followed. Rioja red is always a favourite. Not a place to spend a week, but an ideal stop over for those travelling to or from the northern ports
