Property was lovely, quiet but central location. Walkable to restaurants, shops and I did walk to the grocery too (was a little longer of a trek but worth not pulling the car out again). Parking was a bit difficult as the carport is quite tight but it was nice to have reserved parking, and most things are walkable anyways, so not a huge issue. It was nice to have a 2 story unit but all bedrooms and bathroom were on the ground floor. Apartment was clean and had full kitchen. Property manager was also very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

We did not get to stay at This property because our flight was cancelled. I called and spoke to a man at reception who was very uncaring, was blatantly rude and was not worried in the least that he was gaining hundreds of dollars for no service. I asked if there was anyway to assist since we had booked 24 hours out from the stay and was told their cancellation policy was 48 hours out from the booking start and “if you didn’t intend to stay you shouldn’t have booked” I tried to explain that the airline cancelled our flight so we had no way of getting to chc in time to use our booking. He just kept talking over me and interrupting. I asked if I could gift my booking to a CHC friend since we couldn’t get a refund and wouldn’t get to CHC until after the date we booked I was told no, no one else could stay because the booking was in my name. This man has his answers well rehearsed and speaks over his customers, does not allow his customers to advise all of the details of the issue and is happy to basically steal money from visitors without a care. I certainly no longer have a desire to visit or stay in Akoroa after this encounter. I will take my hard earned dollars overseas NZ tourism does not deserve the local tourism spend.

Disappointing

These apartments may have been luxury some years ago, but they are definitely no longer so. The entire place needs a revamp. The vertical drapes are so 90's and the bathroom heater wouldn't keep running long enough to warm up the bathroom. The kitchenette had a pair of solid hob rings, both significantly rusted. There was no sign of pots and pans so we couldn't use anyway. The bed was a double and barely fit in the bedroom. You had to walk sideways to get past it! The view is excellent which is a redeeming feature.

Plenty of room to spread out and a great spot to people watch. We were there for a few days and it was a shame the fridge wasn’t working. Also the heating wasn’t really adequate, a heat pump would have been much more efficient. We haven’t slept in a double bed for 40 years and it felt like a single. Not good for 6 foot plus person.

Very disappointing!!

Excellent location and fabulous views. Unfortunately room had not been cleaned properly contacted office very poor response said they would clean while out didn't happen. Very out dated and not luxurious apartment!!

Overall, a disappointing place. Our apartment was old and outdated. The wifi signal was so weak that it simply didn't work. Kitchen dishes and utensils were grubby. The toilet was running. The upside was the location - right by the pier. And the management person tried his best to be accomodating, which was nice. But I would not stay here again.

Overall the property is okay value for money. Effort has been made to make the room look tidy and refreshed but there are a number minor issues that are not great (ragged carpet edges, poor paint detailing, poor shower pressure nothing only air channels through sky). But the room was tidy with a well-appointed kitchen. The decor was modern with a nice, partial view of the harbour. So, as above, okay value.
