Whittington Hotels near Lichfield

"The hotel in general was ok. Having to book a table in the bar was not ideal when we wanted a quick drink. Room cleaning was really late and after spending a day out expected room to be clean when we arrived back at 4,30pm - it was not. Not much step free access , so not ideal if got mobility issues. We stayed on the 2nd floor and there was a wedding reception on the first floor on our first night, the noise was awful and went on until 2am, we had to complain along with a number of other guests, we were offered a higher floor room and a bottle of Prosecco. Staff were polite and courteous and couldn’t fault them but I don’t think we will be rushing back."

"There are no rooms without carpets - bad news for those of us suffering from asthma. Good news is that you can open the window to get some fresh air. Breakfast was poor, no veggies. Burnt smell, noisy and nothing extra"

"Room did not smell nice, pillows very poor. Bathroom door would not shut. Staff not very welcoming on arrival. Breakfast nice."

"Nice rooms, good breakfast, indoor pool and sauna and free parking. The hotel feels a bit dated in need of renovation though. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet connection was very good and did not drop out. The food from the bar menu was of a good standard. "

"The room was very spacious and nice, clean nice view, had all the things that were needed, bathroom was okay, a little small but not too small, the shower water gets onto the floor and can soak the floor so be careful with that. But overall it’s great."

"Lovely bed & clean , fresh room . Room temperature perfect . Breakfast following morning nice but maybe a more continental style might have been better ."
