"The hotel staff were excellent, warm and welcoming. Our room was a standard double , and catered for everything we needed and potentially what we may need during our stay. Our room faced the garden so was nice and quiet , though I will say if you faced the street , it would have been the same experience as the hotel is on a quiet street. It is centrally located , and only a few minutes walk to Princess Street , restaurants , bars and shops and some of the sights Edinburgh has to offer. The quality of the cooked breakfast was top notch and plenty of alternative options if you wished a “healthier” or “lighter” option to start your day. Check out was not to 12 midday, providing you with a much more relaxed morning before you leave. If we come back to Edinburgh , Voco Hotel is definitely high on my list to return. Thankyou all for a very pleasant stay and excellent service. Hotel Voco , you have a great team of staff who take immense pride in their jobs , and so be very proud of them too !"

"If you like beer, this is the place to be. There is a fridge full of it in the shower! Not to mention in the restaurant/bar itself. Overall, great location and nice staff. Everything is easily walkable. The breakfast was a section off of the regular restaurant menu with several options, all were good. The only gripe was I booked the Punk Suite, but it wasn't clear that it was a accessible room. The bathroom was setup for a wheelchair user which made the shower and sink inconvenient for my partner and I to use, but its great they have the option for someone that needs it! Probably my fault for not reading carefully. We stayed two nights, and would stay here again. "

"Wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel! Facilities were great, staff was also great. Used the gym, explored the common areas, had drinks upstairs at the Common Club and dined in the Common Club downstairs. Few little issues with the room and housekeeping—stayed in the grand chamber queen suite—bedroom had no door so if you are in the living room watching tv with the lights on the person in the bedroom be kept awake. The big nespresso machine in the room kept breaking—did not work most of the time we were there. Housekeeping a little inconsistent with turndown and replenishing supplies even when we left a note, and there were quite a few dust bunnies in the closet & under the closet and sink, and the wall against the sink still had toothpaste splashes from the previous occupants. Overall were not deal breakers and room was generally spotless and lovely. Would definitely return! Location also absolutely perfect. "
