"Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking and luggage drop off is a challenge, especially when special events are happening in Whitby."

"Parking was on the street. We stayed during a busy weekend so parking was bit hard to find but only 5min walk away. It cost £5 for the weekend. Hotel it great location with a. 10min walk into town or 10minute walk to beach. Hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond to provide extras for our stay. We had the family 2 bed room on the top floor. There's alot of stairs to get to it and the last few to the room are narrow. The room is in the loft with alot of low beams. I hit my head several times."

"The property was spotless throughout, from the front door to dining room, stairs, room and bathroom. Parking available on the driveway. Room was spacious with nice ensuite.Free wifi. Entire property was decorated beautifully and everything was of good quality: furniture, mattresses, bed linen and towels. There is free wifi in the house. Breakfast was well cooked, very tasty, good quality products and plenty. The owners were very nice, welcoming and attentive. Honestly, there is nothing you can fault . We’ll return for sure."

"I had a lovely stay in this hotel. The property was a little dated but clean and well-maintained. It wasn’t right in the middle of town, but a comfortable walk away. Breakfast was lovely. It was table service, and the ladies who served breakfast were absolutely the best. The wi-fi was quite patchy."

"We were allocated a very well maintained and decorated guest room which had an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom was impeccable and supplied with clean towels and toiletries. It was good to see that the shower had no mould or dirt in the corners which is often the case. We found the bed to be rather too small for two large adults and in future will ask for a larger bed. We found the mattress to be harder than we would have liked, but it was nevertheless comfortable. The breakfasts were magnificent. It seemed that nothing was off the menu if requested. Following each of our four breakfasts we set out each day completely satisfied. Parking is obviously an issue in that area as the only parking was on the street. The landlady issued us with a 4 day permit to display on the car. We were fortunate that we were able to find a parking space each evening. However; one can imagine that it not be so simple in the main holiday season. We found the staff to be welcoming and very helpful and would recommend this guest house to any of our friends."
