"Beautiful hotel, especially the main reception and restaurant. The room was basic but clean and comfortable, the view from the room was stunning. There is a very convenient car park right next to the hotel if you can't get parked at the hotel, and is probably cheaper if you arrive later. The breakfast was great, with lots of options and staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall would definitely stay here again."

"Broomfield House is a charming period property with original features in a quiet neighbourhood only a few minutes' walk from Whitby Harbour, Trenchers fish and chips, cafes, bars and pubs and the railway station and within reasonable walking distance of major attractions such as Whitby Abbey. There is free on-street parking a couple of minutes' walk away from the accommodation. The proprietors were friendly and helpful and had kindly given us a free room upgrade overlooking the park and museum and we had everything we needed and more including a sofa, wardrobe, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV and WiFi, kettle, fridge etc. The room was spotless and the bed clean and comfortable, and we slept really well. Although this is a traditional property with no elevator, it is good value for money and we would stay here again. We had a delightful stay."

"Staff very friendly & helpful, the room - although on the hottest day of the year so far, had a fan which with the windows open kept it very comfortable. So quiet it was lovely to be able to sit in the garden having both a pre & post dinner drink. Food was nice and hot and reasonably priced and a very good breakfast was included. Will definitely return."

"I booked the Lansbury at short notice due to a big let down with a booking elsewhere. The Lansbury is very good indeed. There are no staff until you leave(cleaners) It is very easy to get hold of the owners though. It was a fairly quiet place too. Very central to all amenities. I would definitely stay again"
