"It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay."

"Good location but the check in was not organized. There was someone in the parking spot. They need more explanation about the permits which you must display. In the end I spoke to the concierge to sort it out. The place smelled of smoke. It was a good size and location if a little worn in places. The kitchen isn’t bad and it’s large space. It would help for check in if the keys were labelled and it came with instructions"

"We were walking the wales coast path and had not factored in the demand around Cardiff for accommodation when concerts are on. The student accommodation was the only reasonable priced option we could get for the weekend ( still more expensive than a premier inn) The main issue was heat, the room was very warm, a fan was provided but the window is only open a few issues (H&S) therefore circulating warm air. Good security, shower was fine, bed linen and towels fine. Small kitchen and seating are nearby which was handy and laundry on site."

"Had a really enjoyable stay albeit short. We arrived late morning as we were heading to Cardiff for a concert. The receptionist Emma was really helpful and although our room was obviously not ready at that time allowed us to check in and gave me our room key. She also gave me information as to where to catch the bus to Newport."

"It was all it needed to be... We were welcomed by friendly staff and they explained where to get our breakfast in the morning. Room had tea/coffee/ biscuits for us to use and a hair drier next to a lot up mirror which was nice. Location was very convenient as close to the train station. Breakfast was basic but I enjoyed it, staff were ready to cook eggs by request and other cooked items were available in the buffet. The beds were very comfortable."
