Enjoyable stay

Food was good but slightly overpriced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car park charges £12 per night. Overall we enjoyed our stay and stayed an extra night more than planned to use the children's facilities at the sister hotel 4 mins drive away.

Room was really large and bed was comfy - ground floor room so not able to open the window, felt safe with nice toiletries and tea/coffee Getting served at the bar was difficult, only one person working and although she was aware we were waiting she continued to clean the other area - probably not a good person to serve customers Parking was easy and great that we could charge our electric car Would stay again as great price and close to where we wanted to go for Chepstow race course

Great hotel and staff

We always stay at the coldra great value for the money. Breakfast is amazing great quality.only thing spoilt it was price of parking £12 per night thought a bit expensive but thats inflation for you didnt spoil our experience. Highly recomended well done

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We checked in at 4:02 p.m., and from that moment the experience went downhill. The receptionist who checked us in told us that we had to book a time slot to use the swimming pool. Since it was already 4:02, she said we couldn’t use the pool right away and had to book the next available slot at 5:30 p.m. When we went to the pool at 5:30, we were told to come back later at 6:15, and then again at 9:00 a.m. the next day, which made no sense — especially with young children. Every time we tried to go, the staff kept changing our booking or canceling it without a proper explanation. When I finally took a photo of our confirmed 6:15 booking to prove our slot, they still refused to let us in, claiming it wasn’t possible because our booking was “only for four kids and one adult.” This was completely unfair, as we followed all their booking rules. It honestly felt like they were making fun of us and simply didn’t want to let us use the facilities. To make things worse, the gym receptionist told us directly that we were not allowed to go there and that it was up to him whether anyone could use the gym or pool. He even said that the gym and pool “belong to him,” which was shocking and completely unprofessional. Overall, we paid for facilities that we were repeatedly denied access to, and the staff’s behavior was unacceptable. The whole experience was frustrating, disrespectful, and disappointing. Good …but staff need to be trained better

Everything good, check in , room , food all great One issue…a jobsworth at the grill restaurant…empty restaurant at 6.30pm (not a single person there) I walk up and say table for one , he looks at me, looks at his list, sucks his teeth and after a pause says could you come back at 9.30pm! His manner was rude and full of himself rather than explaining there was a part of Yanks in and it would be full in 20 mins. So went to the bar and they were great and had the same food without the ego!

weekend trip

room clean and tidy however bed only made bins not emptied. Bar staff were not helpful they were miserable .They need to put a sign up saying respect other guests has they may be sleeping as it was very noisy at the end of the night and early in the morning .The staff on reception and staff on the rib grill were very helpful and polite . Food was nice and restaurant good.

You can’t go wrong

Always a great place to stay, staff are so friendly and always helpful. Great location to use as a hub, easy access to shops and restaurants and minutes away from M4 if you need to commute further west or east.
