"Our stay at the GrandWest Arashiyama was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, reception was incredibly helpful, and the location was quiet and idyllic. During our stay we made the most of the amenities including free refreshments, a washing/drying machine, and a cute cafe situated just downstairs from the hotel entrance. Our stay here was easily one of the best parts of our trip to Japan and I highly encourage those visiting Arashiyama to consider this hotel!"

"Nice spacious well appointed room, good restaurants on site, walkable to shopping and sites, part of Kyoto train station complex, great service and amenities."
"We had a lovely stay at Hotel Emion Kyoto! The hotel and facilities were beautiful. We enjoyed the panoramic rooftop during the day and night. Our hotel room was very spacious and the bathroom was perfect for taking baths after a long day of walking. Would definitely recommend! I cannot wait to come back."
"The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. They were very helpful with luggage forwarding. They never hesitated to help with anything we asked. We enjoyed the free drinks (coffee, tea, water, cocoa). We had a tatami mat room and it was very comfortable. The water closet and wet room was very clean. The hotel is within half a block to Kyoto station, a taxi stand and 7-11, so it's a very convenient location. There is a public bath, but we didn't try it. We used the paid laundry and it left our clothes wet after the dryer cycle. We had to set an additional cycle. The laundry was busy, but it was nice to be able to pack less knowing we had access to it."
"The breakfast was a very traditional Kyoto fare with a few western options.
It was nice that there was chicken and veggie tempura. My family esp loved the green tea latte machine.
Nice to have dessert options at breakfast too!
The only thing is that menu options are exactly the same everyday. The food for non-asian may be a little too authentic. "
"Room is small but clean
Dinner was really good and lots of choices
Train station is right across the street
Restaurants and shops close right at 9 so plan accordingly "
"Nice hotel with huge breakfast menu. Very close to man train station for easy aceea anywhere else you need to go. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. Recommend it as it has nice pool sauna area and many other extras for the guests. "
