Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites

"We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was conveniently located close to everything, and the staff was awesome—friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. We only had two complaints. First, there were no refrigerators in the rooms, which made it difficult to keep our drinks cold. Second, apparently the room’s air conditioner was out of service, so a portable air conditioner was provided instead. While it did serve its purpose and kept the room reasonably cool, it was quite loud and made it difficult to sleep. The portable unit also had to vent through the window, which meant we could hear street noise throughout the night. Overall, we enjoyed the property and would consider staying here again, but having working air conditioning and refrigerators in the rooms would have made the experience much better."

"Enjoyed the hotel and the staff were excellent. I rated it slightly lower for two reasons. The first was we had a queen sized bed and looking at the bed, it was pretty small. It did not fill the bed frame, so we had to get an air mattress because we couldn’t both fit in the bed. The second was very minor and that was parking. The hotel shares the lot with the conference center, so if there is a conference, there is no parking except across the street. It happened twice to us and when we were leaving a conference attendee stopped us so she could get our spot. It was a great hotel otherwise. It was great."

"Bed a little soft but offered to move us. We stayed all went well. We stayed in the Curwen House beautiful but if you have mobility issues stairs are steep. Suggest 1st floor. Parking excellent, location great, breakfast was good but not gourmet. Staff helpful, sheet, towel’s excellent. Would stay there again."

"The location of this hotel is perfect to see all what Salem has to offer. It is centralized and walking distance to everything worth seeing in Salem. The cost is a little high, but worth it for the convenience of being so close to everything. Loved the sparkling water dispenser outside our room. We came here in August, and the sparkling water was a refreshing treat after being out in the hot sun all day. The parking in Salem is unusual, and parking is not included with price of the room. The closest parking lot is about a block away. Do have a drink at their rooftop bar which gives a great view of Salem. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very nice and we came into Salem early. The staff took our bags and text us when the room was ready. If we come to Salem again, I would definitely stay here again for the convenient."

"We stayed 3 nights in the East India Room and had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this inn to anyone visiting the area. The decor is amazing and the house itself is perfectly spooky! The property is clean and well maintained, the owner is professional and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We also appreciated the convenient self-check-in with a door code, which made arrival simple and hassle-free. Our only minor disappointment was the prepackaged cereal breakfast. We had expected something more like a traditional Days Inn style breakfast with eggs, sausage, ect…We noticed everyone groaned over the missing advertised breakfast….That said, it wasn’t a significant issue since there are plenty of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Location is amazing, There is an assigned parking spot. The property was quiet and all in all we had a wonderful stay!"
