We loved our short stay at Silsbee’s…our room was beautiful and comfortable, and Patrick was so helpful and communicated with us quickly and thoroughly.
The staff was wonderful the only glitch we didn’t have any extra outlet paper and the one mostly used one we had didn’t last had to call and ask for more. But besides that I would give them 5 stars
We had a lovely stay. The owner and the staff are very friendly. The room was a dream, we stayed at the Rajah room which has a beautiful badtub. The breakfast area is so cozy, the tea
The Rajah Room was absolutely beautiful and had a claw foot bathtub right in it. The room was comfortable and very clean. Patrick and Adele were accommodating and friendly. The floors are thin because the building itself was a barn at one point, but as long as you (or your neighbors) aren’t making a ton of noise you should be okay!
Great stay at this charming historic inn. Very comfortable room with a cozy bed and excellent walk-in shower. Owners made everything very clear and easy, including self check-in. Excellent location in walking distance to major sites.
It's our second time at Silsbee! We were at the Rajah room the first time, and now at in the Canton room. We loved our stay. Quiet, not in the middle of everything BUT close enough to walk everywhere. The Mercy Tavern near by (3 min walk) is a MUST! Best burgers in town! We had an AC issue on a day of 105, and the owner was very quick and responsive and had good options, although we were able to quickly fix the issue! Breakfast is hold almost in a museum place! So pretty! We love Salem, and will probably be back at this inn!! I love the idea of encourage little businesses!
We loved our time at Silsbee's by Daniels House! We stayed in the Romance room and loved everything! The tub was the perfect addition to our evening and we were so close to everything we wanted to see in Salem. We would absolutely stay again.
Came into town for a wedding and got to stay at this fabulous B&B for a very nice price. Walkable from everything touristy and beautiful in town including the waterfront about a block away. 2 restaurants and a coffee/bagel joint right around the corner. The main house was very cool and had a museum feel with some original carpentry and masonry. The Rajah room had a brand new bathroom with a huge comfy bed and a fancy clawfoot tub. There was air conditioning during the day, but we kept windows opened for a lovely sea breeze at night. They had a mini fridge and a microwave in the room as well. We can't wait to go back and stay there again honestly. The continental breakfast was yummy. They even had custom tea that was delicious.

We loved this historic property! It was like staying in a living museum.
Though we never met any staff personally, all communication via text and email was helpful, clear and descriptive, i.e. codes to get into the building, where to park, info about breakfast. We enjoyed our stay.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. I love that it is a part of history. Our room was clean and nice. Close to a lot of attractions, shops, and dining.
The location was great. Easy to find and safe to walk around at anytime of the day. Room was wonderful. The bed was firm which my husband mentioned a few times and we needed to ask for more pillows since ours flattened out quick but overall a wonderful stay.

The property is beautiful located 2 blocks from shops, many attractions and the harbor. Even though it is so close to everything it is quiet. I can’t say enough great things about Veejay. He was very informative, friendly and while we were only there for 1 night it felt like we made a friend.
Absolutely beautiful property and room! We were in the Rajah room which was quite spacious and beautifully designed. The owner was very polite and responsive to our texts and questions. We had a simple continental breakfast that was included, and the highlight were the different teas that they make in house. It was fun to see the interiors of the older home from the 1600s, and appreciated the explanation of the history of the home from Patrick.
Very friendly. Location was on “ Main witches street”. Room amazing. Room was from a magazine . Bed was big and royal. Beautiful shower for 2. Very private stay. Private parking. 12 minute walk to the furthest of everything.
No staff available on arrival. You got to figure things out or call. It’s stressful. Thermostat was in the hallway so you share settings with other rooms. Breakfast choice is underwhelming.
Room and Bath was nice. Location is good and the antique ambiance is very nice.
Great location and cool experience. But parking is a nightmare. I thought we had onsite parking but ended up getting yelled at by the owner because we pissed off another person staying who apparently had the right to park onsite. We had to park 3 blocks away and it rained the whole time. Both times I had to contact the owner, he was rude and it just ruined the experience for us. If you just need a place to sleep and keep your stuff, this is the place. Just don't expect any hospitality.

Beautiful property. Close enough to walk to all the town attractions and free assigned off street parking. However the stairs to the 2nd floor are high and steep. There is no insulation in the place. You can literally see the room below through the floor boards and it sounds like the people down there are in the same room. For us that meant a very loud group of people who kept us up. At no point did we see anyone who ran the place. Everything came via email. A code to the door, how to get in, how to leave the place, etc.. The bed was extra firm and we both ended up in pain each morning, plus I think the shower needs a PHD to work it.
