"We stayed with our kids ages 6 and 9. We were the only ones there with kids, but it was great and the kids loved the fireball and jenga. Safe. Well equipped kitchen. Pool to cool off in that the kids enjoyed. Bunk beds were super comfortable. Quiet time is at 11pm but kitchen closed at 10 so it was quiet enough at 10pm. Bathroom situation wasn’t ideal, but it’s a hostel. Close to a small grocery store, super close to the beach, affordable. The highlight was the surfing lessons. Julien was great! but Helena who gave both our kids multiple lessons was such a gem, we will always have great memories of our stay!"

"Ocho is an incredible hotel!! Beautiful rooms with waterfall shower, large tub and beautifully decorated. Beachfront lounge chairs, a pool with view of the ocean and such wonderful service. I felt so welcome and taken care of even before I arrived. It’s a place to unwind and let go!"

"Very happy with our stay at Occidental Tamarindo! First, the staff, I’ve never felt so welcomed any where else. Plenty of food and drinks. Clean rooms and facility in general. Entertainment team made a huge effort every single night and was really appreciated by us. They go above and beyond in every show with whatever resources they have. Special mention to the tours desk in the hotel with Sibü Tours! Yusi is amazing and very personal in every interaction. The best driver ever, Manrique, is all you need when looking for a friend in an unknown destination! He’s our friend now! Francisco, the guide, was fun, friendly and informative (5 stars), and Don Diego the big boss, a very humble, pleasant and friendly guy. Such a great team! We’re already planning to go to Occidental again!"
