"The room was very beautiful and clean. Staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, and helped us with our heavy luggage without hesitation. Within five minutes of our arrival, we were welcomed with fresh tea, and our room had complimentary cakes! They supply a fan in the room too, which is helpful for anyone that needs some airflow for comfort. We had breakfast in the morning and the food was delicious and fresh. The hotel is conveniently located about two minutes from the bus stop, and a seven-minute walk to a local pub with great food. We also walked to Chatsworth House and its surrounding grounds, which are next to the property. It overlooks a sheep farm too. This was truly a magical stay, I wish we stayed more time!"

"Convenient ..perfect position ..we could relax, , enjoy a pint or two, & return to flat in minutes without need to take our motor. Friendly town ..we enjoyed 6 nights ..was not quite long enough!"

"I am so happy we stayed at the Pilsley Inn. It is located in a lovely little village just outside of Chatsworth House. I felt like I had stepped back in time. We only stayed one night as our itinerary was very full, but I would definitely recommend this Inn. the people were friendly, and it was a perfect stay for my English holiday!"

"Room was clean but dated and could do with a refresh. Evening meal was excellent, I had the steak & Malbec pie and it is one of the best pies I have ever eaten. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, there were two of us and one wanted black pudding and one didn’t but neither got any, nor did we get the fried bread, there were only two juices available, orange and apple (I think) but the orange juice ran out and not replenished although there were staff around. You could have tea or coffee by request but only one latte or cappuccino, there were no cereals, fruit or danish etc which you would expect from a hotel chain such as this (Marstons). However the staff, especially at dinner, were absolutely fantastic, always on hand to help and not too overbearing with the usual ‘is your meal ok’ type scenario. They are a credit to the company. The reason for the 3 stars is the room needing updating and the breakfast."
