Hotels near Universal’s Volcano Bay

"Toilet was broken, furniture fell apart under the weight of a diaper bag, tv was broken (lines down the screen), elevators took 20-30 minutes to go down or up, staff hogs the elevators during busy times, arcade is a rip off, (charged game card, no credit to play) No hot water in the showers, stopped by the cafe for a smoothie and spent $8 on a mango milk-water that tasted putrid. The beds madr the floor look comfortable, not to mention a BLOOD STAIN on the spare bed. Absolutely disgusted and will never return. Only thing that was actually nice was the free cookie one of the cooks gave my son. Would not reccommend this hotel to an enemy. Much less anyone i respect. Absolutely terrible. "

"I have been fighting for over a week to cancel this reservation. This hotel knows I never checked in and never stayed but doesn't want to give a refund I should have never had to beg for. I also purchased the insurance in case something happened. Honor your refunds as advertised. "

"Breakfast was buffet style 23.99 per person . When i booked a pictures of a waterpark was included in the photo gallery and the site did not have a water park . The location had a small splash not well maintain. I booked because i thought it had a waterpark for my kids . The pictures was from a nearby park within the photo from the hotel that anyone can assume it was on site disappointed "

"Clean room but small. There was no option for body wash and just a small zest bar. I know there was a 50s type them but the V05 shampoo was zest bars was looking cheap. They had one pillow per person and the mattress was old . I woke up with my back aching. The walls were thin so I woke up several times at night due to some cackling female next door to where I can hear her thru the walls. I was highly disappointed in the hotel universal offers. This was my first and last time staying at universal owned property . The front desk man was very nice but he upgraded me for free to a view of volcano bay. Only to find out I was in a room next to last at the end of the entire building . So I had a long walk to main lobby and pool etc. "

"Had to change rooms a couple of times, had a smell in the first room, 2nd room had spiders, 3rd one was ok, had to settle cuz my $$ was non-refundable. The male at the front was very nice and understanding and had patience. the female is very snobby and creep. I went and bought my own supplies to clean and make it comfortable for me. But overall it wasn’t that bad once i got comfortable; i just wish it was house keeping there, and the presentation was like the pictures. But there wasn’t no mole or nothing, pool was open and clean, ac worked and i slept comfortably until my stay was over."

"Hotel was perfect for our staycation celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday. She was able to have enjoy the bar and the son and our 6 year old nephew enjoyed the indoor and outdoor water parks! The room was renovated and very clean. The AC worked almost too good. We would definitely come back in the future. "

"Parking not adequate for number of rooms. I was told to park in the fire lane or in handicap spaces and just find something by hotel staff. Room was hot as AC unit is equivalent to a window unit. Sheets smelled. Breakfast was sparse again for number of guests. Will never stay there again."
