My only problem was that we did not get the room we paid $800+ extra (about double the standard rate) to get for our honeymoon. Staff tried to make it right but I’m disappointed and feel misled. However everything else was a 5 star experience. The resort is gorgeous, loved the location l, and the staff was friendly - especially the restaurant staff. Speaking of the restaurant l, the food was insanely delicious. I would highly recommend Mi Amor. Just be aware you might not get the room you paid for by looking at photos.

Mi Amor Tulum is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. The design and atmosphere are stunning, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They truly made me feel welcome. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay again!

We came from a really bad 5 star hotel to Mi Amor, and we wished we had stayed here longer. The staff was so kind and helpful, the room spacious and clean and the restaurant absolutely amazing. Best food we had in Tulum. Def coming back if we ever visit Tulum again.

Beautiful Property beautiful location, wonderful staff. We stayed in one of their most expensive and beautiful rooms, but without being said our spa never worked correctly throughout the entire week we were there. They apologized and had technicians repeatedly but instead of just replacing equipment they just fiddled with it. The spa was a highlight and a reason that we picked that particular unit.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing. The food was delicious, the chef knows what they are doing back there. The food was actually the best at the hotel compared to other boutique restaurants we visited. If you plan on going to the more lively side of Tulum, it’s about a 10 min taxi ride and that adds up daily. It’s best you get a scooter or ATV but that’s no fun at night with mosquitoes hitting you in the face lol. So a small rental would be ideal but there is limited to no parking. So just keep that in mind. You could walk but I wouldn’t chance it in the evening as the roads are narrow and a 25 - 30 min walk both ways can get tiring. There isn’t a hotel shuttle but they say they can arrange transportation. Best bet is arranging your own taxis/shuttles to keep cost low.

This is a peaceful, small hotel that is great for a romantic getaway where you don’t leave the hotel very much (if at all). But it is quite far away from anything else, and they don’t really let you know this in advance. Getting a taxi or renting a bike is logistically difficult. A new system of payment for entering the park is annoying and creates quite a bit of traffic. Also, while the hotel is charming, it needs quite a bit of repair, which other reviews have touched on. I do have to appreciate the incredible staff, who went out of their way to help me when I got a brief scrape on the rocks.

A little gem

Really enjoyed our stay here. The property location is wonderful as are the staff who are more than helpful for recommendations. The beach a few meters away is also amazing. However a few things to keep in mind: At the moment there are a lot of works on the main road leading to all the hotels on this strip. I highly recommend renting a car not to be reliant on taxis which are expensive and can take longer due to the road works. Take care if you choose room with pool view as they are noisy due to being in front of pool, bar, reception. Unfortunately not all guests are considerate when coming in late at night. I suggest a few minor renovations and upgrades in the future

Nice place and nice location , quiet and private

The place is very tidy and clean , it is beginning to look a bit dated in certain areas. Staff attentive and it is very relaxing and intimate. Note this looks over a rocky coastline not a beach. The romantic dinner in one of the cabins overlooking the sea was really quite a different experience. The food was excellent and the romantic dinner has a story with it. Cannot tell you more or would spoil it. Access is via the national park and new roads are being put in to it. For us the only access was from the south side not the main national park entrance but this will change I assume once the road works are completed. It is a very quiet out of the way place, good to get around by bicycle. Car park is just 50m up the road

LOVELY Stay

After a conference in Cancun on a busy and noise Resort we really need a place to relax and enjoy ourselves. Mi Amor was PERFECT. Great location, safe, quiet and clean. Note, the Hotel is inside of Jaguar Park, giving you a beautiful preserve nature as backyard. The property is gorgeous, amazing views. You don't have access to the beach from the hotel but is just 5 minutes' walk to get beach entrance and you will have also all kind the other nice restaurants to enjoy you beach day. The food is delicious, my favorite was Shrimp Taco. the drinks are very good too. The rooms are very specious, comfortable and private. What makes this place even more special is the service, THEY are amazing, from the front desk with very knowledge girls always ready to help, restaurant very friendly and they will call you by name on second day, room service is 2 minutes: believe-me, they will be there before you get the door, and THE housekeeping: they are absolutely amazing, they clean your room twice a day, with fresh towels, organize all your stuff, and when you are out for dinner they come to open your bed and leave a lovely tray with delicious tea and chocolate. we had a lovely stay, perfect for our needs, relax and add a little romance on our life. if you like to enjoy Tulum, you will have a cab there in 5 minutes, I also recommend having a dinner in town at KARMA, ask for a "nest" table. Great experience and awesome food. For sure I will recommend MI AMOR Hotel to my family and friends.
