"Great location for Mall of America visit. Can walk, or have very short and easy drive to the East parking garage. Good pool area for kids. Convenient guest entrances around the building allowing you to park close to your room. Friendly staff."

"The historic property was beautiful, and centrally located for our Twins game and concert on another night. Upon our arrival, the employees at the front desk warmly greeted us. Prior to our stay, I’d noted in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and would love a nice view. I’d kind of forgotten about the note - and at check in they went out of their way to express birthday wishes and put is in a room with fabulous city views and breakfast vouchers- so personal and much appreciated! Our room was nice, clean and the walk in shower was a plus. We also used the gym and hot tub- and I was pleasantly surprised by how hot the hot tub was- perfect! Overall our stay was great. Food in the restaurant was also good- as was the service. Wish I could remember the names of the two employees who checked us in on us in (August 13) as they were excellent, and one even provided us with some on point restaurant recommendations. Would recommend!"

"Your kids will love the experience, even my one year old toddler enjoyed the pool and it was always a fight to get them out of it. They enjoyed it so much. As an adult I enjoyed all the amenities too, there was really no need to explore other places as the kids had so much fun just staying at the hotel."
Erik's Retreat in Minnesota

"Erik's is a unique place - nestled in a neighborhood, this renovated retirement home from the 1970's has so much character. If you are a chain hotel person who likes to know what you are getting, anywhere you go, Erik's is not for you. While the rooms (and I had a one bedroom and a two bedroom) were very clean they are on the sparse side. They offer a mini fridge, Keurig with plenty of pods, the beds were decently comfortable, the linens nice, and I felt safe and comfortable. There are only 8 rooms that are included in the 'hotel' the other part of the building is a home for Autistic adults, the 'non-profit Erik's Retreat' offers a unique opportunity for independent living and working. As a matter of fact, I met Erik himself while he was vacuuming the lobby one morning. I loved my experience at Erik's-oh and it is very conveniently located."
