"Must have been lovely when it was first built, but really needs * reviewing now in its present state. Repeatedly poor restocking of plates and glasses at buffet breakfasts, but good selection of cold and cooked food. Some tables with cloths and mats, others no covering. Scrawny paper napkins!? Furniture dusty. Seating in reception, fillings to chair backings sagging and trim missing, (but beautiful scrolled arms). Beds Very Firm/hard - unlike anywhere else we have stayed. Compared with the Oceania cruise which we had disembarked from it was most disappointing in so many areas."

"Don't let the location fool you. Strait Street is a typical Malta alley-looking road, lined with bars, restaurants and other hotels. Once inside you'll be pleased with your room and the cafe. I had a very large patio with a jacuzzi, the room had been recently renovated with lovely, bright colors, and the large bathroom had also been recently renovated. The location is great. The only drawback was accessing the property. Make sure to get the code for the front door before you leave on your trip."

"The place was well located within easy reach of all very good restaurants. It was a just a quick walk to the city center. I asked for the hotel to provide a taxi transport to the hotel late in the evening when we reached Malta. Luigi who services the hotel was extremely good and extremely helpful. Typically the front door has a code, but when we got there, someone was there till 10pm. The hotel should inform the traveller of this fact as I did not get the code sent until I asked for within the 24 hours of arrival. Otherwise the hotel was very responsive. It was very clean, although it was an old place. That added to the charm. The breakfast was adequate. The view of the classic room that we got was not that great. Generally a very good stay that we enjoyed. The staff was very helpful and great."

"This is an exceptional hotel. We stayed in the Grand Harbour Sky Villa which was an amazing space in the centre of the city. The room had everything that you could want and was stylish and spacious. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and a credit to the hotel. The breakfast was also great, hot and cold with a huge variety for such a small hotel and number of guests. I would recommend this hotel for your stay. The location is also very central with two routes to the main streets and close to bars and restaurants. It is however only accessible by steps so pack light or bring someone strong."
