"This is a great location in the pedestrian zone. The basic but comfortable room was clean and quiet. Two things to note; there is no traditional front desk. You enter through the Starbucks and have codes for the elevator and your room. This was not a problem for us. Also you cannot drink the water in the room. The water does smell sometimes giving the bathroom a peculiar odor. I don't know if this is a common thing in the old town. It was my first visit. "

We were a party of 3 friends: the staff immediately changed the bed from a double to 2 singles before we had even unpacked. "Big positive: Breakfast buffet in the Grana Restaurant. Loads to eat and drink. Full English or continental or both! Big negative: We went in February and the aircon was set to heat to 25°C (I keep my home at 18°C). I asked how I could turn it down and was told it's controlled centrally so not possible to control individual rooms, a decision which baffles me. Had the air con off the whole time, but it was warm, and we had an internal room so no air flow at all. I asked reception to provide a fan, but they said they didn't have any. Why on earth don't they let guests choose the temperatures in their own rooms?? "
