"Check in was great. Allowed to the room early. Check out day was not so good. Check out is 12. We were showering and the cleaner knocked and walked in at 10.30 then a maintenance man knocked at 11 wanting to come in. The bar staff were not helpful and no room tab was allowed. Not a smile in sight. Lovely spa area and maintained well. Plenty of towels provided. But only 4 very old saggy loungers. People had to sit on the floor. Room for more or at least some chairs."

"The staff were very friendly, and upgraded us to a castle view room on arrival which was kind. The room was spacious, with a heated towel rack in the bathroom. Lots of little touches that made our stay here very enjoyable."

"I checked in after a delayed train journey from London into an oasis of calm …❤️ I was given a complimentary upgrade to a suite which was fabulous… my room was so comfy luxurious and clean. Great selection of tea coffee and other complementary beverages plus alternative milk which I needed ❤️can’t wait to return next month… thank you "

"As two young girls who booked this we didn’t spend one night here and ended up booking another hotel as an emergency. There’s no parking on site even though it says there is. You have to pay £30 a night at a different car park. The key cards are kept in a paper box labeled ‘key cards’ on the desk. The lift was crashing and scraping the whole way up and the hotel is not as advertised online. I have requested my money back but the hotel is not responding to Expedia."

"Had a lovely time at this hotel. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable. Good price and better value than some higher priced hotels. Late check out which is great"

"The staff as always were extremely friendly and helpful, we mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and we went out after checking in and when we came back they had left a card, a bar of chocolate and a bottle of wine in our room! What a lovey gesture, excellent t customer service!"

"Very average hotel. I paid for parking and still got a fine from parkingeye. Hopefully hotel will sort it"
