"Excellent hostel - great value for $"

"Our room was clean and for our family of four it had the perfect set up with one queen and two decent sized bunk beds. Shower needs a bit of an update but otherwise the room was great. Nice touch having complimentary tea, coffee & juice in the morning and offers to order a decently priced breakfast. Location was close to restaurants. "

"Urban Hive was a perfect spot for our stay here in Cape Town. Next to great restaurants and nightlife spots. Wonderful price for the area and rooms were nice. Would recommend to any young traveler coming to visit. "

"Awful stay. 1) Unhelpful and unfriendly staff 2) No towels were given despite being promised 3) Not all lights work in the room 4) Not all windows close 5) Random staff come into your room unannounced while you sleep (despite being a private room). お勧めできない"

"My experience at this hotel was a far cry from what was advertised. Upon check-in, I was surprised to find additional charges, including nightly parking fees despite ample parking space available onsite, as well as a R250 per person damages deposit, which I declined to pay, leading them to take my driver's license as collateral. The floors, made of black polished concrete, were a constant source of frustration as stepping out of the shower inevitably resulted in blackened feet. I must commend...
