"The manager was very nice, apart from that I wouldn't stay here again for the following:
1. We booked a "mountain view" family suite as advertised on Expedia, but the room had no mountain view and was not a family suite. I.e. false advertising.
2. We wanted to swim but the pool loungers were so dirty it put us off. Generally, the place is neglected and run down, not well maintained. It is certainly not 4 star (more false advertising.
3. The aircon in our room hardly worked and we felt uncomfortably hot during the night.
4. There are multiple parrot cages with very noisey parrots outside the rooms that prevented us sleeping early in the morning, despite using earplugs. This is crazy and shows a lack of concern for guests - parrot cages should be elsewhere on the large property.

"The Mirabelle is an absolute gem of a find in beautiful Franschhoek. There are so many positives about this magnificent guest house! The staff are super friendly, so helpful and courteous . This is arguably the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in. The pool is stupendous with a plethora of sun beds so no chance of being without! It’s a short walk into town so all amenities are extremely close.
The breakfast is amazing with a fabulous choice of cooked options as well as a table of continental choices.
We met the management who were very welcoming and super friendly and we very much look forward to a return trip. Thank you for making our visit so special! "
"Lovely stay overall. The setting is beautiful and very relaxing. Breakfast was made to order and consistently excellent, and we really enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting each day at 5:30pm—a lovely touch that added to the experience.
The bathrooms, while very clean, could benefit from some modernising and refurbishment.
One small note: pool service was a bit slow, and there is a tray charge and tip automatically included with pool drink orders. The amount is minimal, but it would be helpful if this were made clear prior to ordering, or simply included in the drink prices.
Overall, a wonderful stay and a place we would happily return to."
"Warm welcome. Beautifully decorated room with all the necessary features. Very comfortable bed and flexible bathroom (small point- water pressure in the bath could be better). The plunge pool was relaxing with enough chezlongue for all guests. Food was very good with an interesting contrast between Epice and Protege. Would highly recommend for a relaxing breqk or longer holiday. We already considering when we can go back."
