"Pour les amoureux de l'aventure c'est l'emplacement idéal, un acceuil tres chaleureux, un personel très gentil, un chef cuisinier superbe, les tentes sont très bien équipées, en milieux de la nuit on entend les rugissements des lions, c'est une aventure agréable."
"Perfect location in Central Serengeti. Wildlife comes right up to your tent, but you never feel unsafe. Laundry is free. Great staff and food. Tumaini took excellent care of us. "
"Excellent stay. Mosses and the entire Melia Serengeti staff were nice, friendly, accommodating and warm. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt like home during our stay. Would recommend staying here. :)"
"1. The local Africans that work here are great - they were amazing guys that made my brief stay here tolerable. Thank you guys - you know I appreciated all you did.
2. Location - You're literally in the middle of the wild plains of the Serengeti - One night, several hyenas slept just outside my tent - little nerve racking, but that's the wild for you. 3. Service - The VIP tent was good but the food and service was outstanding considering where you are!!

"Remote glamping. Feels like a miracle that this camp in the middle of the Serengeti has hot water, electricity, Internet, and white tablecloth dining. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is not for the faint hearted or light sleeper. There are delightful animal noises at night. Baboons come into the camp at dusk. You need an escort to the dining tent after dark (easily arranged by telephone). I had a buffalo outside my tent one night. I never felt unsafe though.
I would strongly recommend to...
"Ok experience. Nothing more and nothing less. Two Norwegians pretty used to comfort and good accommodations, and this wasn’t all the way as expected at this price level, even though it’s Serengeti.
The staff were very bad in English, so we found ourselves lost in translation very often. Which made planning a safari a bit of a challenge. However, our safari guide was fantastic.
The food was ok, but variety was not good at all.
The worst: This hotel is MUCH more expensive than they disclose...
"This is an amazing property built in the late 60's. Very rustic and built into a rock mountain with fantastic views over the Northern Serengeti. You must appreciate rustic and that not always will you have power and hot water, it is very very remote and difficult to get to. I'm an adventurer and this was my favorite of all the places we stayed, but not for everyone. It could use some maintenance, but overall the food was great and is a one of a kind accommodation. We booked and paid for...

Witness the Great Migration as millions of wildebeest thunder across the plains with safari guides tracking the action. Book early for balloon safaris over the acacia-dotted savanna where lions, elephants, and leopards roam in their natural habitat.

"We truly had one of our best travel experiences ever.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with singing and dancing, which immediately made us feel special. The entire staff was incredibly friendly—more like family than hotel staff. The location itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Serengeti.
The resort facilities are top-notch. The tents are beautifully decorated and furnished, offering comfort while blending perfectly with the natural surroundings. We had amazing close encounters with zebras just outside our tents, and at night, we could hear lions roaring nearby—an unforgettable and thrilling experience.
Ommairi, the manager, was outstanding and ensured everything ran smoothly. Our safari guide, Steven, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and a true expert in wildlife. His open safari vehicle was especially perfect for photography, giving us clear, unobstructed views.
We were sent off with more singing and dancing, which was a lovely and emotional farewell.
The only thing we would recommend adding is a small air heater for the very cold nights and early mornings in July. Aside from that, everything was truly exceptional."
