"Clean and spacious room. Good breakfast and good location. Very friendly staff who gave us information about Machu Picchu during the protests (Dec 2022) and about the bus to Hidroelectrico (start of hike along train tracks to Aguas Caliente)."

"The small hotel is in Marampata, Peru, close to Choquequirao. Everything that gets to Marampata comes on a human's or mule's back on a brutally long day of hiking. The fact that the hotel exists there is amazing in itself. No idea how the mattresses got there. My son and I stayed 2 nights on a recent hiking trip to Choque. We didn't want to carry tent/sleeping bags/ground mat, etc...and add day/s to the hike, although we could have camped for very little money. The hotel was well worth the...

"This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. Can’t wait to plan my trip back here! "

"Staff was terrific. Travelers got separated and staff here helped both parties. The one who hiked got caring aid - food, information about other travelers options, offers to help with communication. The one who did not hike got excellent information on how to meet up in another town on the following day. Staff kept in touch after. Food was abundant and delicious."

"On the plus size, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. On the downside, it’s an awkward area of town and they also didn’t communicate that you could order things for breakfast."

"Enjoyed a family stay with two rooms (1 with 2 twins and one suite). The suite had excellent balcony and functional hot tub with salts provided.
Staff were excellent. Property manager Alcedis and his front office manager Maria were both very helpful, knowledgeable and service oriented.
Maria accommodated my request for additional coffee, and frequently checked in on how the stay was going. Alcedis gave us the option of late check out for one room due to hotel not being completely full and even walked my husband to ticket station, waited for him and made sure he got the correct bus tickets. Excellent staff and great value for this property. I would stay here again as a family or couple."
"We had a wonderful stay at Tierra Viva. Its location is good, it is located about 5 minutes from the Machu Picchu bus station. We were picked up from the train station. Food at the restaurant was very good. Our server Edward was "
"Very friendly staff - gave tips and helpful suggestions while around the town. Stay is simple - but having an open mindset regarding the location, it was enough for my needs."
"This Belmond is ideally located at the entrance which was great for our stay. The staff are friendly, professional and very helpful. The property is excellent and the dining choices are very very good. "
