"Great location easy walk into downtown Funchal. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Ocean view recommended!! Weekend techno music wasn't my cup of tea. Weekend cleaning the room not great"

"Do not stay here!!!! My flight from Porto to Funchal flew there, circled for 30 minutes and had to fly back, due to weather, it was not allowed to land. the flight deemed cancelled.I contacted the hotel and advised them and they said since I booked it through a third party (Expedia as part of a package, flight and hotel stay for two nights for my wife's 50th birthday) they stated they could not do anything about it, I needed to contact Expedia, I did , Expedia contacted them and they denied a refund. Very frustrating, I did not cancel by choice, the plane was not allowed to land.. They didn't care, No refund!!! Take your business elsewhere,!!! Terrible customer service."

"The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city, with everything close by. It’s just a short walk to the ocean and marina, as well as a large mall and plenty of shopping options. There are also great restaurants all around. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was phenomenal, fresh, delicious, and offered a wide variety of choices. I would highly recommend this hotel!"
