The property was kept clean and tidy and there were so many great spots to enjoy the views and always with a great ambiance. The direct access to the ocean for swimming and snorkelling was one of our favourite parts.

We have stayed at the Pestana Lido every time visiting Madeira. It has the best location, wonderful staff and excellent food and drinks. You are literally surrounded by amazing ocean views from every room. We love the personal service due to its smaller size hotel.

Fantastic! Staff super attentive and felt very welcome the whole time. Helpful for requests in the property as well as planning outside the property. Lovely oceanfront with direct access for swimming in the sea and pool. Easy parking, great breakfast and easy to book spa experiences. Highly recommend!! We would book again next time in Madeira!

Wonderful resort

Beautiful setting on the ocean with ready access to dining and shopping. Bountiful breakfast buffet with a friendly and helpful staff. Only issues were VERY firm beds (for which they provided a helpful pad) and a ceiling light that randomly turned on during the night (maintenance ultimately removed the bulb). All in all a wonderful place to stay.

I genuinely enjoyed my stay in a smaller, but no less convenient, outpost of the Pestana chain, which I am loyal to as one of the best hotel groups in Portugal—a superb refurbishment. The food is great, and the ambience is quiet and restored. The staff are helpful and kind.

Faburlous sea views from close up. If you sleep well with the sound of waves -- can't beat it. Very convenient for short walks to restaurants and a grocery right next door. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and professional. It's hard to think of something we didn't like, but perhaps it would be people slamming doors in the early morning. (Perhaps soft-close mechanisms?)

This property is a lovely sea side property. You can open your patio door and hear the waves (very peaceful). The property has a spectacular breakfast which you can book with your room. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The housekeeping is daily unless you decide otherwise. The staff go above and beyond trying to assist with all of your needs. Truly a great experience with this Hotel - would come again.

It was the perfect room over looking the ocean. It was a great way to start my birthday weekend. The staff was exceptional. I really appreciated the little extra touches, like having a birthday cake made out of towels and flowers and an actual birthday cake in my room. It's convenient to a lot of things. Everyone in my party would definitely stay here again.
