"Great views & great location"

"Because of the way the balcony was constructed Room 264 flooded because of rain. The balcony filled with water like a bathtub and poured into the room. Since it was late at night, the front desk was closed and the “emergency” phone number went to somebody in San Francisco who said they couldn’t do anything for me. Also , because it was late I could not get another room. We slept with a lake surrounding us in our beds. Also, I was informed the next morning they were working on resolving the issue. However, they still rented us the room KNOWING there was an issue. I will be contacting the Fire Marshall and City District Attorney. This room should have never been rented. Did I mention the ceiling started to leak as well!!!"

"There was an absolutely beautiful view of the beach. The room and entire facility were incredibly clean. It was the cleanest hot tub I’ve ever seen!"

"All staff were very friendly and helpful! Room was big and clean. Bed was comfy with lots of pillows. Nicely located between SLO and Avila Beach. Wonderful walking/biking path that went for many miles ,mostly along the river so was very pretty. If I had one complaint it would be the lack of a microwave in the room but that is minor. Would definitely stay there again. "

"We were driving north on 101, and decided to stop in SLO for the night. We love using Expedia's app to find a place where we think we can stop. This property stood out as being conveniently located (we like to be able to walk places) and looked newer / clean. It met all of those expectations, and actually really impressed me. I would not expect the same from another La Quinta, but this one worked out well."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Madonna Inn. Even on a weekday, the hotel was nearly full, which speaks to its popularity. Our family of three loved the unique antique decorations in the room—it felt very special compared to a standard hotel. The amenities are top-notch; the luxury pool is beautiful, and we spent a lot of time exploring the secret garden. While the on-site restaurant is a visual treat and worth a visit for the vibe, it is a bit overpriced. Luckily, the location is convenient to other dining options like Denny's and Olive Garden if you want to save a little on meals. Highly recommend for a unique California experience!"

"The good: very nice outdoor hot tub with waterfall feature. Very comvenient location next to 101. Quick and professional check in. The bad: this place is old, run down, and need of lots of repair. There was a leak from the room above over our shower, with a great deal of water damage in the ceiling. Furniture was old. Fixtures including light switches and wall paneling were loose. Mattresses were of very poor quality and felt like a bag loose bag of springs. Would not recommend."

"Good for the price, don’t expect anything extra at all. Toiletries??? Nope!! Tiny little soap and that’s all!! Used toilet paper, yes just one not extra tissue paper. If you need to iron your travel clothes forget it, there is nothing in their deluxe 2 beds room. Basic super basic rooms."
