"A very nice hotel for the area. Next to a nice restaurant, a gas station, and close to Starbucks. The neighborhood is safe as well. We took our dog for a walk after 10 pm and felt very safe."

"Wish I could leave 0 stars. Upon arrival the employee (male) was not behind the counter. After saying "hello" to get someone's attention he appeared and shockingly told me he didn't like the way I said hello and I needed to find a new hotel because he was sure I would be trouble. I did convince him to let me stay. He would not give his name or tell me his position at the motel. The room: hot water every other day, knob broken on heater, could not adjust, asked for a light bulb. Elevator broken upon arrival employee did not offer to help carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Booked hotel because of hot tub. Hot was "broken". Icing on the cake as I was telling Jason the manager about my experience at the motel during checkout I walk closer to the check in counter and his d--- is out of his pants. He said he was sick and just got out of the bathroom. Too me that did not appear to me the reason for him exposing himself. He compted one night, I should have demanded all 3 nights to be compted and am sad I didn't think fast enough to take a picture. "

"We loved this quaint place. The afternoon staff was amazing, the am staff did not seem like she could be bothered to look at me. Once I took a manager’s business card, she looked up but still couldn’t be bothered to ask me what I need. The only thing I would suggest is at least a small fitness center."

"I chose this property from comments made about the staff in previous reviews. The fact that I had not been in SLO in 26 years made me somewhat apprehensive about the town and not knowing about the area. My wife and I stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely helpful in restaurant recommendations and provided exceptional service. Complimentary breakfast was absolutely outstanding. All the guests we met made similar comments. Even the "happy hour" (again complimentary), added a wonderful chance to meet other guests and socialize. Although the facility was smaller, it was totally adequate. Good parking with a wonderful European flare. Again the staff made the already great experience even better. ALL staff worked very hard to make our stay the best. Their consistent wonderful attitude made the difference and is rare in today's society. On multiple occasions, one of the staff could even be heard singing softly as she worked... "

"Newer, modern and beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious, super clean and nicely decorated. Loved the location, walking distance to so many restaurants and stores. Will definitely be back when in SLO."

"My family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed at this motel for 3 nights at the end of March 2026. The Good: We liked the fact that there were two separate bedrooms, one with a king, one with a queen, and another queen in the living room. The layout of the rooms was more similar to an apartment than a hotel. There was a decent sized kitchen with a fridge, cooktop, sink, coffee maker, and microwave. It also had a nice patio/balcony overlooking the creek with 4 plastic chairs to sit on. There is an outdoor pool. The Bad: The fridge was very old, the freezer didn’t work, it couldn’t keep ice frozen, no pun intended. It also needed to be defrosted because there was a large amount of ice collecting at the top of the fridge. The kitchen sink kept getting clogged and the in-sink garbage disposal didn’t work. Pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils were not provided so we did not use the cooktop, just the micro. Floors were dirty and the whole place smelled like cat urine. There were at least three lights that did not work, patio light, dining room light, and one of the lights next to one of the beds. We had to pay an extra $30/night for our dog, this was never disclosed. Pool was very dirty. Bedspreads and pillows didn’t seem clean. The TV was too small/far away from the couch. The king mattress was old and did not provide any support. There were 2 single servings of coffee provided, when we asked for more they said only the first 3 were complimentary. No coffee provided in the lobby. "
