The only thing I didn't like is that you either have to valet park your car or go across the street and use the paid public parking structure. I prefer not to valet park my car but didn't really like the other option. ...

Garden Street Inn, A Kirkwood Collection Hotel
staff is wonderful, friendly- love this inn and the location. Breakfast is great! No coffee maker in room and tv tiny but knew that as stayed before and will stay again! Favorite in SLO!

This is a very attractive property. Te room was super cool. The rooftop pool area is very comfortable with good views. Extremely friendly staff. There is no better location in SLO. No, I am not related to the owner or staff.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Luis Obispo Downtown
Would have been a 5 star because clean and good mattresses but simple stuff like poor lighting and terrible foam pillows let them down. Many hotels now offer a mix of soft and hard pillows. This one was a journey back in time with neck busters
