"Clean room and bathrooms, and the free breakfast and luggage storage were great amenities as well. Would absolutely recommend for a short term stay in Shinjuku."

"Amazing stay at this property! The property was clean, simple, and very convenient as it was merely a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station. The owner of the business personally took the time and effort to make our stay as enjoyable and accommodating. Breakfast was provided and there were plenty of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The genuine hospitality and friendliness of the owner himself truly made this experience personable and one of kind. We definitely will recommend this...

"Room is great although the heating is not powerful enough to warm up the room on a cold day (5 Celsius degrees here), except that super friendly staff "

"This is the nicest one star hotel I’ve ever been in. I stayed in 3 star hotels that were not as nice. Great area but a little far from a train station. Very comfortable beds. And well priced "

"The hotel was very clean and the staff welcoming me very friendly. The room had a large luggage storage area and a small locker inside the bunk. The room I was in was in was on the top floor with no elevator so it was a little awkward arriving and leaving. Bunks were brand new built from wood and were a little noisy as they acted like a boom box for any neighbouring noise. Showers and toilets were perfectly clean and weren’t an issue for noise when sleeping"

"Overally a great hotel in a superb location. Only an 8 minute walk from Ikebukuro station.
The dining area was great. The restaurant was always buzzing and the food and drink options were good.
The weekly share a meal with someone from another country/culture is a great idea."

"Good Shinjuku location and price. Check-in was really slow due to the volume of people but staff were helpful. Rooms are small as expected but very clean and functional."
"Stay here for the Tokyo Marathon. Great location closest start eight at the on-site restaurant which was really good. Enjoy the on-site bakery as well. Would definitely stay here again."
"Very convenient located nearby metro station. Also nice little restaurants in area. For marathoners. Very easy to go to start and also close by enough to even walk from finish to the hotel. (Or take 2 stops) in any case great to do a shakeout run from hotel ..then to imperial palace rounds and back about 7km. Sport shops are all nearby. Staff extremely friendly. Room is nice, clean and Japan ryokan touch. Making reservation for a taxi is however ¥1000 . Which should be service. The relaxing room was occupied by other guests way too long. They should make it a time slot of 2 sessions. Tea ceremony was just a nice touch. There is no ATM at hotel and also no wine available in vending machine. The beer option was ok. Breakfast buffet is very complete and tasteful. Expensive (about $24) in comparison with what eating out cost.
Overall excellent hotel experience. Definitely recommend "
"Very good breakfast. Staff are friendly and courteous. Reception is great
efficient. Gym is small, but we knew this before arrival from the photos of the hotel."
"Great hotel, very clean property and rooms, staff are very friendly.. the open buffet breakfast was great and has many varieties of foods and drinks, we had breakfast everyday at the buffet. The location is great and close to subway stations and other attractions. We really recommend this hotel."
