"Extreme proximity to train station a priority. This means trains can also be heard from many rooms. Even though the soundproofing is good, this can be bothersome for a sensitive guest.
Clean spacious room. Wonderful staff. Good breakfast."

"Place was disgusting. Was full of dust. Was definitely not cleaned before giving us a room. There was evidence of male ejaculation on the side of the bed and the room had cockroaches. The water in the bathroom also doesn't stay hot. Super difficult to get around without a car . Would not go here they should take this off Expedia."

"We were I little unsure when we first arrived as the entrance is through a small shopping arcade
But in the end we really liked this hotel
Great position for walking central and east Kyoto
Also near to several train stations to go further afield
The bar is a wonderful place for a drink with a view after a busy day in busy Kyoto
Like everyone says get out and about early as Kyoto gets busy
Room was very nice and breakfast was good
We would recommend this hotel "
"So handy for getting to transport, good food options and close to Nishiki market. Comfortable twin room where I slept well, being 6ft 5 inches I was concerned the bed may not be big enough, but it certainly was. Great AC too."
"Nice hotel with good WiFi and free coffee. The rooms are small/cramped, but I think that’s just what you tend to get in Kyoto from what I’ve heard. The location is hard to beat, there’s probably 100 restaurants (not an exaggeration) within a 5 minute walk and the train stations are an easy walk. "
"The hotel is BEAUTIFUL, great service, perfect location. We enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to the friendly staff at the hotel. They were extremely helpful."
