Hotel from outside doesn't look great but at the second you step in you change your opinion, it's a beautiful hotel, well situated between the Gion district and across the river less than 10 minutes walk all the traffic and vibrancy of the city, near to bars and restaurants, great drinks at the bar, rooms on the small side but very nice.

Grill 54 is absolutely amazing! The service, the food is all very top quality, we loves the atmosphere with the mini bamboo forest as well as the samurai armor set in the bamboo, the front desk staff we're extremely friendly, helpful and gard working, overall i highly recommend this hotel as well as the location is close to the Kyoto station sooo much shopping and absolutely amazing food!

Very nice hotel in walking distance of shops, restaurants and public transport. Even the imperial palace was only 30 min walk away. The hotel was lovely, although the room was on the first floor and pretty small for 2.

Fantastic staff and beautiful hotel.

We loved this hotel. It was easy to access various areas of Kyoto with trains/metro/buses all on our doorstep. It was also walking distance to Gion. The staff were wonderful and let us check in super early. The rooms were comfortable and stylish and the cocktails in the bar were lovely. The Nest had tea and coffee whenever you needed it, which was fab. The hotel was beautiful and welcoming after a hot day of sightseeing. Would stay again if in Kyoto.
