The Lookout Rye

The Lookout Rye

8/10 Good
"Overall the hotel was a lovely place to stay. A perfect location for exploring Rye. The staff were all excellent and extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed for one night and the breakfast was superb. The only complaint was the state of the little balcony we had which over looked the car park. It would have taken minutes to sweep the dirty floor, pull up the weeds that looked as though they’d been there for weeks and maybe put a pot plant on the table. The table and chairs were rusty but just about acceptable. All 3 balconies were in the same state which was a shame as they could have looked lovely with just a few minutes of tlc and imagination. Having said that I would definitely go back."

"Beautifull hotel. Loved the room, ‘Frank Palmer’. Lovely firm mattress. Little steps up to bathroom. Good breakfast, although no baked beans. Shame, as they are full of fibre. Dinner was good, but goodness knows why one cant exchange something on the menu if they don’t like it. Staff are friendly and helpfull."

"Great location right in the centre of Rye and the staff were helpful. The room was bright and well cleaned. Enjoyed the breakfast. Would have been nice to get a bit more ventilation as the weather was so hot. Also the WI-FI was rather unreliable, working at first and then stopping. Overall, a good experience and would recommend."
