The Bear Inn

"We were going to a local wedding and couldn’t meet with the check-in window. So contacted the Bear and they rang us and arranged an early check in which great. Free parking, cars need registering. Lovely room, comfy bed, quality linens, nice toiletries, tea & coffee etc. but over the pub toilets so aware of hand drier noise. Lots of local info and warm welcome and pre ordered continental breakfast delivered in the evening. Quiet over night, lovely heavy dark curtains but no nets and room overlooked by neighbouring houses. All in all we think it’s overpriced at £144 for the night"

"Lindsay was a really nice host, we could have what we wanted for breakfast, there was tea,coffee sugar and milk in the room. Our room was very spacious and bathroom was very large and well layed out, our room looked out on to the garden which was nice."

"Bottom line is i would stay here again. Looks modernised. Room comfortable and spacious with all required amenities. Only downsides a pretty grubby tv remote and not being able to get a decent morning coffee without paying for breakfast. This despite the sign outside saying Starbucks available ( doesnt open until 10:00)"

We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this place for an authentic UK atmosphere. We loved the environment and can’t wait to see the vision of the remodel work. We’ll definitely be visiting again! Located in a small town with friendly locals."
