"First room window didn’t have a handle attached so you couldn’t close and lock the window. I raised at reception and fortunately they were able to move me to another room. The staff on reception were very nice and helpful. There’s plenty of parking around the back of the hotel and it’s free for hotel guests. The rooms are a decent size and include everything you would expect, although they could do with installing a few more electrical sockets. Even though it was November, the room was way too...

"Check in was efficient Staff were friendly Rooms were clean and functional. Evening restaurant was a disaster 45 min to get and appetizer and customers were not happy. Food left on service counter and not bought out to tables. Breakfast was much more efficient. May have been a bad evening but no real apologies offered. Average budget stay hotel. "

"This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District."
