"Staff great, downstairs areas (bar, restaurant, food, etc) great. Bedrooms were really grim - horrible smell (stale cigarette smoke) and can't open any windows in the bedrooms. Would never book again for that reason which is such a shame as the staff are great"

Rooms are functional and represented excellent value for money. Breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. If you are after a no frills excellent value for money stay with friendly landlord then you won’t go far wrong. "

"Hadn't realised that they don't have restaurant open on Sunday night. Open Monday to Saturday. Luckily we'd had a Sunday lunch. Bar was pretty busy so I'm surprised they didn't sell snacks, sandwiches, cakes etc."
