"Nice place and great location. The staff was polite and attentive. Rooms were clean, but I wasn't impressed with the small bathroom. We only went to the pool area once, due to the amount of people in the pool. The short time we were at the pool the hot tub was not clean and had lots of stuff floating in the water. The small bathrooms and the pool area are the only downfalls and the only reasons I do not give this review a 5 star."

"The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa was amazing....massage was A-One, baby you better get you one, it's that Deal. Hospitality was great......Thank you staff, you guys did your thing. We were in the tower our room were nice, view was.amazing. we'll.be back. Only thing need more dinning selections and a better brew of coffee in rooms and resort. "

"We live in town and did a little Spring Break stay-cation with a couple of families. The kids enjoyed the pools, while the adults enjoyed the snacks and beverages from the cabanas! The staff at the check in desk were very friendly. The glass of local wine at check in was a nice touch. I love that the hotel rooms and common areas are furnished and designed with more unique furnishings than a standard large chain hotel. It made it feel just a little more special. "

"We originally booked at Super 8. When we arrived about 9:30 the office closed with a sign saying to check in at the Howard Johnson across the street. Which was not that big of a deal. Also was told for the continent breakfast we would have to come back over to this hotel. So we went over got out room key drove back across the street, parked, gathered our stuff then walked up the steps and down to the room. When we got to our room, swiped the room card which it opened it right up. To find a man sitting on the bed watching tv. I quickly apologized and shut the door. So we loaded our stuff back into our truck, drove back across the street and informed the woman at the desk of what happened. Her first responce was that can not be. I said well there's someone there. She did put us into a room with the same amenities there but never actually apologized for the issue or going back n forth. I would of been happy with at least an apology. "

"This is a basic "no frills" hotel, which is all we were looking for in this stay. Minimal staff, but available if needed. No trouble getting checked in, etc. Parking on site. Suggest requesting back rooms (not facing main road.) We had no issues with traffic noise with a room facing to the back. Comfortable bed. Plenty of soft white towels. Two suggestions - didn't care for the "steeped coffee" in the room. Also, please change toilet seats to a covered seat and remove the hardwater rust stain in the toilet (Unappealing first look at the bathroom!) We would stay here again for an overnight when we aren't going to spend much time at the hotel anyway. Good value! "
