"The property is in great shape for 130 year old hotel! So it lacked amenities of modern hotels but knowing that it was fabulous! The room was very clean and the beds were excellent! A/C worked perfectly. It is in the heart of Old San Juan with a 5 min walk of everything there. I would stay there again. "

"Great hotel in the heart of San Juan. The location is great, a few blocks away from the water and convenient to a ton of shops and restaurants. El Morro, the historic fort, is a 10 to 15 minute walk away. My room didn’t have windows that opened but I only stayed one night so that was fine. The bed was really comfortable, the room was clean, and best of al the AC was cold! I didn’t partake in breakfast so I can’t comment on that, but I really enjoyed their beautiful stone bathtubs located on the rooftop of the north wing. The highlight of my stay! On the roof of the south wing there are Jacuzzi’s which I didn’t get to check out. The employees are friendly and the hotel is decorated with a Mediterranean flair, it’s really cool. I’d definitely stay here again. "

"The resort is really nice. I like that they have a good selection of food choices. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds. We had a city view so we didn't have chairs on our balcony. We had breakfast in the restaurant on the lower level and chose to sit outside but, couldn't enjoy it because the birds were trying to get it off the plates. They were literally on our table so that sucked. The drinks and food were good but they were pricey. The pool was refreshing. Overall we had a great time but im not sure i would go back to that particular hotel "

"I love the Old San Juan area and this hotel is another beautiful restored building. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Within walking distance of restaurants.shopping, and more beautiful buildings and history to check out. "
