We discovered this place using a day pass and fell in love with it. There is a beautiful pool with swim-up bar as well as access to a gorgeous beach (with security and attendants). We were given a free upgrade to an ocean view room but the garden view would have been lovely as well. The restaurants are top notch and the staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. This is our new go-to resort in PR.

The Royal Sonesta San Juan was fantastic. Great location, beautiful grounds, clean, welcoming atmosphere, and staff were very attentive and friendly. The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the added patio was a nice addition. Upgrading to the club level was a great experience and worth it. Our only suggestion for the resort would be to upgrade the beach towels and beach/pool chairs as they were a bit worn. Special shout out to Eunice at the front desk who was very accommodating, and to the gentleman each morning in the club level area who greeted us with a friendly vibe each day. We definitely recommend this resort if you are staying in Isla Verde!
